Fans are unhappy with the way the tennis schedule has been booked as Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu’s tennis partnership looks in doubt.
Alcaraz and Raducanu were set to play the US Open, much to the utter delight of their respective fanbases.
The US Open Mixed Doubles Championship is set to take place on August 19, one day after the Cincinnati Open final.
The World No. 2’s appearance in the Cincinnati Open final could put Alcaraz’s partnership with Raducanu in doubt, and fans are not happy.

Fans share dismay at the tennis schedule as Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu’s partnership is ‘off’
Tennis journalist and commentator Jose Morgado has claimed Raducanu and Alcaraz’s partnership is “very much off” due to the Spaniard’s appearance in the Cincinnati Open final.
Fans have taken to social media to share their bemusement at the US Open Mixed Doubles tournament taking place one day after the ATP 1000 tournament.
“How did they think that schedule would work? Crazy,” said one fan on X, while another wrote: “The scheduling this summer is the worst tennis has ever had to offer.”
Cincinnati final on Monday, US Open Mixed Doubles R1 on Tuesday.
I guess Alcaraz-Raducanu is very much *off*.
Sinner shouldn’t play either. Zverev doubtful given what we just watched…

Another said: “I hate what they’ve done with the calendar, can we just go back to one week masters? This that feels like incomplete, not exciting tennis.”

The Cincinnati Open is taking place on a Monday for the first time, meaning Alcaraz would only have one day to recover and travel to the US Open.
Carlos Alcaraz’s crazy tour schedule following the US Open
The World No. 2’s hectic schedule only gets busier following both US Open events, as Alcaraz will need to jet between continents.
Alcaraz is set for the Davis Cup and Laver Cup, which will mean he plays on clay and hard court in Europe and America within weeks.
After taking off the Canadian Open after Wimbledon, fans believe Alcaraz will have to pull out of at least one tournament.
Should Alcaraz have a lengthy run at the US Open, which he’s expected to, there’s every chance the star will not play for Spain and Europe at the Davis Cup and Laver Cup.
